This is a small cup for lack of better words. But, I absolutely love how it turned out. I glazed it with burnt orange and shadow green. I love the emphasis and contrast from the glazes. I added white on the top part of the shadow green in hopes that it would run and drip over the burnt orange without covering it all. It did just that!

These are two of my set of three, the final one still needs to be grinded on the bottom. I glazed it with dark cobalt, shadow green, and white but I had thought I had cleaned it up enough that it wouldn't run over the foot ring. I really like that glaze mix. The final piece is similar to the larger of the two vases with the colored glaze on the outside.
This is a round, chunky vase I made with vashon white. This vase is an example of how I need to work on pulling up the walls more, the base is really heavy. For this vase I tried to use slip in a different way. I tried to use it to create drip marks and then I used a darker slip to fill in the negative space. I like the idea of it, but it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted. It is definitely something to work more with in the future. I glazed the outside with clear. But, the inside has metallic brown and some white. This is a small vase I made out of Seamix. I glazed it with white as a base coat and then glazed it with metallic brown, brown, and shadow green. I really like the way the colors showed up on this vase, it reminds me of a peacock's feathers. It just needs some purple! I think the way the glaze is also shows movement. Our group frankenpot has now going into the bisque kiln to be fired. We adding some texture to it by carving out parts of the project. We're hoping that this will add more depth to our colors by adding a place for it to possibly pool a little. Although we are not sure how we want to glaze it just yet, I could imagine layering glazes to create more depth. For example the metallic brown and a little bit of shadow green or one of the other greens. We could also use black/white as well as other blues. Kendra made the top part, Katie made the middle, and I made the bottom part of our frankenpot.
For my set of two plates, I threw them out of porcelain and was able to foot them. I love using the watercolor glazes so I used those here. I don't think the clear glaze layered how it was supposed to, there was some air bubbles or something. I glazed flowers on these plates.
This is a mug I made out of cone 10 clay and then glazed with cone 10 colors. The handle is a little small, but the cone 10 clay dried out a lot faster than I thought it would have. The handle is a nice shape for this mug though. I was also able to foot this mug. I glazed it with rutile on the whole project and then a cooper color on the top half of the outside. On the inside, I glazed it with white.
When I was making this project, I had intended to make a teardrop from one piece of clay but was not able to make the top how I wanted. So, I threw another piece and attached it the same day. At this point, I wasn't able to attach pieces when they were completely wet so I waited until after school to use the heat gun. The two pieces lined up a lot better than my other pieces and I am really glad about that. The bottom is a little heavy, again I need to work on pulling up the base. I was able to foot this project. I glazed it with shadow green, dark cobalt, and white. I love how it turned out. I was hoping it would more of a solid color. It does look nice as an ombre type effect, it also allows the focus to be on the top part of the vase.
This is a mug I made as a gift for Conner. It is made out of Seamix clay and glazed with shadow green with white on top. Unfortunately, the glaze ran a lot this time and had to be grinded. It has a foot ring.
This is a vase I made out of seamix and red clay. I like the shape of this vase, it isn't very heavy which is nice. I was able to foot it. I love how the mixed clay turned out on this project. You can see the lines and the movement of it. I glazed this project with clear.
