This is a vase that I threw in vashon white and then put yellow and red slip on top of it. This was another attempt at making a rounded vase with a thinner neck. it didn't work as well as I would have liked but I did like this shape.

I am trying to create a more rounded vase with a small neck, I think it could be described as a bottle-neck vase. I am getting closer but not quite there yet. I believe this was one of the earlier attempts. The mixed colors didn't show up as well as I had hoped but they did show up nicely along the lip. It's a mix of seamix, yellow seamix, and a red clay. This is kind of like a cross between a bowl and vase. It was supposed to be more of a bowl but wasn't shaping right. I need to practice making large bowls more. Instead of mixing the two colored clays right away, I centered the seamix clay and then cut out pieces and added the orange clay. I centered it a little more and began throwing. I really like the way this one turned out. I don't think the red really shows up on the inside though and I'm not sure why that happened but maybe I'll try adding a little more next time. This is a seamix mug I am making. I will foot in on Friday, but today I made the handle. I am not sure how I will glaze it yet but it is a gift for Conner.
This is a large bowl made with red and seamix clay, I was able to foot it and sandpapered it on 3/2. I am hoping that the colors will show up nicely! Once it's finished being fired, I will glazed it with clear.
