This is a rounded vase that I have been working on, I decorated the outside with slip in a way to make it look like it was dripping. On the inside I glazed metallic brown with random white. When the white and metallic brown mixes, it creates a really pretty green color and I am hoping that will work. The outside is just clear.

For the past two days, Kara and I have been working on creating a mobile for the origami to hang in the hallway.
Today I tried working with paper clay. It did not turn out exactly how I wanted, I hope my final version is better and I have a better idea of what I want to do. I think creating some sort of animal sculpture would be fun to do. This one is kind of like a little basket.
The assignment today was to make two origami things. I chose to make a flower and then a friend showed me how to make the bow.
This is another frankenpot I made, it became a frankenpot because I couldn't get the shape/height I wanted from one piece of clay. It was really heavy but I was able to carve off a lot on the bottom before footing so I think it will be okay now. I am still not sure what I want to do with this one. I was debating putting different colors of slip on it and mixing them to make a design or adding texture to it. I also considered making flowers and adding it to the project. I could also do seamix slip and then use watercolor glazes. |
